France: Cheyssieu, Isère
Extreme winter storms are becoming more frequent across continental Europe. This ADAPT-PV project in southeastern France plans to install 2,976 PV semi-transparent PV modules at a clearance height of 3.75 meters, above 1.45 hectares of apple trees.
That adds 0.97 MWp of solar capacity to the site, while also protecting crops. We’ll be comparing results to traditional hail netting used on a control plot. As of December 2023, the project is moving through building permitting processes, aiming for preconstruction in Q2 2024.

The Netherlands
With this ADAPT-PV project, we’ve set out to demonstrate best practice in fruitvoltaic cultivation. Fine details like water drainage are being optimised as part of the final design process.
Grid connectivity has already been made available.
